Day Three on the Riviera!
You may wonder why it is taking me so long to do this . . .
Each page takes me two or three hours.
Choosing a few photos, cropping them, saving them, creating a webpage for them, finding a background image, uploading it to the web, checking it, fixing mistakes, rechecking, adding the webpage to my website and to this blog – I’m sure a pro could do all this in a twinkling, but it takes me a long time.
But – ta da! Here is
Day Three!

Next Tuesday Staples and I will celebrate our 25th anniversary on the west coast. We’re going to Bellingham, Washington and will finally see where Nora is living. I’ll be gone for a week, so there will be a break in France Fotos. Before we go, here are a few pictures from the second day in France, 1 August 2007.

According to the BBC’s Guide to French slang , “miam miam” means “yum yum” in French. It seems an appropriate name for a blog about a trip that will feature so much good food.

Greetings. Yesterday was the first meeting of people interested in a trip to the Cote d’Azur, planned and organized by the owners of Saint Jacques, a French restaurant in Raleigh. My father has kindly and generously offered to take my sister and I on this tour. After attending the meeting, we basically wanted to drop everything, go there right now, and never leave. Since that isn’t possible, I decided to start a blog in order to have a place for information and photos of the area, and pictures from the trip. More to follow . . .
